Letter From The Athletic Directo
As Director of Athletics for the Altamonte Christian Eagles, it is pertinent that I encourage and ensure our department will follow the guidelines set forth by the Headmaster, to not only be a stellar member in our division and conference as we continue our membership with the Sunshine State Athletic Conference (SSAC) and Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA), but ensure we make a positive impact in our community, city, and state. Being a part of ACS Athletics is more than just being a great athlete. It is our duty as administrators and team members to ensure the success of our students on and off their playing field, court, or course, but are also successful in the classroom and beyond. Without proper leadership, student-athletes do not have anyone to look up to or aspire to be. This is where we come in to provide the guidance necessary to ensure their success. Teaching life lessons takes place in these places as well, and I will encourage our students, athletes, coaches, and fellow staff members to continuously develop as a person and as an ACS Eagle.
Our athletes will take place in community events with our supporters and sponsors, to show our dedication to making Altamonte Springs and the surrounding areas, not just our campus, a place where people want to be. Having a servant mindset and being able to treat all our fellow neighbors as family will help set us apart from anyone else. When opposing teams, fans, and community members set foot into our community, they will feel the love and respect from our department. Pursuing our best, defined with hunger and humility, will create an environment in which supporters and opponents alike feel worthy and valued, allowing them to fall in love with the process and show that our purpose is important and needed. They will know that God has truly blessed us and is guiding us to success in all that we do.
With the culture set and the bar raised, our school will continue to thrive in all aspects. This drive and motivation will lead others to wanting to be an ACS Eagle for life!
